Bakerzin shares the story of how the Immortal Moon Rabbit and his wife were so touched by the plight of Chang-Er, who was banished to live on the moon, that they sent their twin baby rabbits to the Moon Palace to keep her company for eternity. The Jin (Gold) and Yu (Jade) bunnies, spent their time entertaining and playing with Chang-Er and every year, during the Mid Autumn Festival, they would work vigorously to make delectable mooncakes for her. Each delicate mooncake, vibrant-coloured gift box as well as handy tote bag features the twin rabbits design to remind us of the filial duo.

Taking inspiration from these dedicated and hardworking rabbits, Bakerzin worked diligently all year to create a range of elegant mooncakes using only the best ingredients and ensuring quality in every moon cake.

Besides keeping perennial favourites in this year’s line-up, Bakerzin has also introduced four new sublime flavours to tempt discerning tastebuds - Traditional Baked Wu Ren Mooncake, Traditional Baked Red Bean Mooncake, Mao Shan Wang Snow Skin Mooncake and Mung Bean Chestnut Snow Skin Mooncake.

Undoubtedly the highlight of this Mid Autumn’s collection is Bakerzin’s  Mao Shan Wang Snow Skin Mooncake. Known as the King of the King of Fruits, this durian varietal is highly sought after for its creamy texture, hint of bitterness, well-rounded taste and small seeds. The best way to store these delicious jewels is frozen till ready to eat.

To enjoy any of these delectable nuggets, you simply need to drop in at any of Bakerzin’s 14 mooncake booths spread around Singapore or at any of Bakerzin’s ten outlets to pick up your favourite baked or snowskin moon cakes.
